Clinical Assessments article image
Health care professionals conduct clinical assessments for various issues. These high quality services are only available from trained professionals because they have the requisite skills, training and support to offer the best treatment to a patient or client. For example, physiotherapists use their specific knowledge and expert skills to assess conditions of the soft tissue, joints and bones. Their training and experience is built into a clinical assessment to prepare and deliver treatment plans – sometimes these treatment plans involve other professionals (e.g., podiatrist). A clinical psychologist might conduct a clinical assessment of a patient with suspected depression. Once an assessment is conducted, treatment for depression will begin. Sometimes treatment involves medication and talking treatments or either alone. In summary, seek out a professional trained to support your needs.
